We are delighted to say that in collaboration with the Rowland Emett Society and the MAD Museum in Stratford-upon-Avon, A Quiet Afternoon in the Cloud Cuckoo Valley is being exhibited at Birmingham’s fantastic Thinktank Science Museum.

The show is to be called ‘Mechanical Things’ and will run from December 2016 to March 2017. It will involve not just our own collection but also the ever-popular Chitty Chitty Bank Bang car (which Emett designed for the 1968 movie), several other Emett-designed machines from the film, plus a large collection of fascinating and ingenious automata from all of the UK and even mainland Europe.

The show will bring together more of Emett’s work, along with that of other artists and craftsmen who have drawn inspiration from him, to create an exhibition that will make you smile.

For further details please contact either myself Natasha Watson (natasha@cloudcuckoovalley.com) or Tim Griffiths (tim@rowlandemett.com) at the Rowland Emett Society.
